Monday, January 6, 6:45 pm - Litchfield Hills Audubon Society's monthly meeting.   Corrie Folsom-O'Keefe, Director of Bird Conservation for the state office of the National Audubon Society, will describe Audubon's conservation efforts along the coast.  Connecticut's coastal habitats and the bird species that depend on them are facing numerous threats.  For birds that nest on our beaches and offshore islands, human disturbance limits habitat use, reduces nesting success and the amount of time birds can spend foraging or resting, impacting their health.  The meeting is at the Litchfield Community Center, 421 Bantam Rd (Rte 202), Litchfield.  Free and open to the public.  The talk will also be on Zoom.  To register for Zoom, go to the Calendar section of the website, lhasct.org, before 5 pm on Jan. 5.  You will be sent the login link.
