4/13 - in my Farmington backyard, from 1pm on, I had 10 male and three female PURPLE FINCHES - they dropped out of the sky at once and virtually covered the nyjer, black oil and hulled sunflower feeders.  Absolutely stunning plumage on the males and the females' stripes strikingly defined!  This is a record number for me to have at one time...I mostly have had singles and pairs...
