I just finished a great trip delivering a boat from Panama City, Fla. to Kentucky Lake. This was my first experience with extended cruising on rivers. We left Panama City and crossed the Gulf on the outside to Mobile Bay. Then it was up the Mobile River, past downtown Mobile, Ala. and into the Tombigbee River. This riverway was created as part of the TVA project. We passed through eleven locks ranging in water rise from 25' to 84'. I liked it so much I would do it again. Tom Looking for a Defever 49
