  1. fees have been re-instated for the New York canals, $75.00 for cruisers
    less than 40 ft, $100 over 40 ft. for a season pass.
    2)Insurance costs are reduced if you are doing only inland waters this season.
  2. Towboat U S  has a reduced fee skedule for inland waters (fresh water) only cruising.
  3. to a point the slower you travel the better the fuel economy
