05/11/14 - Stamford -- Rosa Hartman (park?) was very active. There was
a Bay-breasted Warbler singing from a tree in the parking lot and
there a Solitary Sandpiper in the parking lot puddle.

05/11/14 - Fairfield, Birdcraft -- 2 Bay-breasted warblers seen with
Alex Burdo.

05/11/14 - North Haven, Quinnipiac River State Park -- Blackburnian
Wabler.  Unfortunately, the noise was pretty bad, even along sections
of the trail/road that turned away from the highway. Not sure if I'll
be back based on the difficulty hearing the birds.

05/11/14 - Greenwich, Tod's Point -- transitioning male BLUE GROSBEAK
at Tod's Point on our morning walk. Enjoyed by 7. The bird was seen at
around 8:30 at the main picnic area near founders rock.

05/11/14 - New Haven, East Rock Park -- Common Nighthawk sleeping on a
limb about 80 Feet up in a tree.

05/11/14 - Windsor, Northwest Park -- 3 Wilson's Warbler in the park
Sunday morning. Singing bird in trees behind flowering pear trees to
the left of the dog park just before bridge into soccer field.

05/11/14 - South Windsor, Donnelly Preserve -- Black-billed Cuckoos.

05/11/14 - Naugatuck, Naugatuck State Forest, west block --
Bay-breasted Warbler, Blackburnian Warbler, Hooded Warbler, LAWRENCE'S
WARBLER.  The Lawrence's Warbler was observed singing along the edge
of the power line cut on the west side of State Forest Road (between
Hunter's Mountain Road and the rifle range).  We then observed it a
few minutes later in the woods alongside the road, over the
stream.  It was singing a typical Blue-winged Warbler song.

05/11/14 - East Granby Yard/Trails to Rails Bike Path, East Granby.‹ A
WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW has been singing for most of the day in my
backyard which borders the 'Rails to Trails' bike path.  The bird is
in the area of the Red Tobacco Barns.

WARBLER singing in a very tall spruce and gleaning insects at 2PM.

seen feeding on insects over the CT river with swallows.
Riverfront Park -- WILSON'S WARBLER in the willows at the entrance to
the park.

05/11/14 - Hamden/New Haven, East Rock Park --  reports from many
observers in many parts of the park at many different times of the
day; Black-billed Cuckoo (Giant Steps), Common Nighthawk (sleeping;
Giant Steps), Swainson's thrush (2 together), and twenty-three warbler
species including Tennessee Warbler (College Woods), Cape May Warbler
(river path), Blackburnian Warbler, Bay-breasted Warbler (Trowbridge
Drive), Hooded Warbler (2 together), and Wilson's Warbler (many).

05/11/14 - Sterling yard -- 60 species; flyover SOLITARY SANDPIPER
(second record for yard), SWAINSON'S THRUSH, BLACK VULTURE (7), PURPLE
FINCH.

pasture.

05/11/14 - Canaan, 60 Orchard Street -- Red-headed woodpecker eating
hulled sunflower seeds from tube feeder, behind the house.  Showed up
at 4:50 PM and came back to the feeder 3 times before 6 PM.
