I have used the Maptech site to download free BSB charts on several occasions, so I was somewhat surprised to have the problem I've recently encountered with trying to download Region 2 charts. I register properly, get a download ID number, and wait the required time to receive an email authorizing the download. When I get the email from Maptech and attempt the actual download itself, it aborts and tells me that their server may be down, or that my network may not be working. This has happened several times over three weeks and it is obviously not a server error. What gives with Maptech? Has any listee had the same problem? I would use the NOAA site but you have to individually check off each chart you want and it is a PITA, compared to just ordering the whole region with one mouse click.
