From Bev Propen -Orange

12/11  8:45AM-9:35AM at Hammonassett  SP
RED CROSSBILLS-a group of 8 and another group of 4 in the  pines where
previously described. I watched as one meticulously worked on a  pinecone.
Very cool!
Actually I spotted a group of birders and hung around with  them for awhile.
Easier to see the birders initially who pointed out the  Red Crossbills.
Thank you to them all.
Thank you also, to all of you who e-mailed me the directions  of where to
spot the Crossbills.
