First national study of teaching artists wants you!

University of Chicago researcher Nick Rabkin says, "Teaching artists are
central to so much of what is most exciting and innovative in arts ed --
both in and out of schools. But their contributions are generally off
the policy radar screen. Our objectives are to collect basic data about
teaching artists, understand how to maximize their potential, best
support their work and creativity, and make the field sustaining and
sustainable."  If you are a teaching artist, or if you manage a program
that hires them, you can learn more and register for the TARP survey
(which goes live in 2009) at the project website,
http://TeachingArtists.uchicago.edu.  To be sure all perspectives are
represented please forward this email or share the link with associates
and friends!
