Visitors:
It was a slow day on the people front too, with only around 12 visitors on
the tower. thanks to Mike, Peter, Bob, Liz and Hugh for providing some
company on this hot, sunny day.
Weather:
Another hot day (26C) with winds from the south/southeast. No cloud cover
all day and very light winds made watching from the top of the tower rather
unpleasant, so we moved to the lower level for some of the afternoon.
Raptor Observations:
Only 10 individual raptors were seen today, marking our slowest day of the
season so far. An immature Peregrine Falcon was the main highlight.
Non-raptor Observations:
Today had lower overall diversity than the previous days, with only 64
species recorded and 6 warbler species. The swallows were around in smaller
numbers as well, with only 300 Purple Martin hunting over the marsh.
Highlights from today included Olive-sided Flycatcher and Greater Scaup.

which will be updated daily.

Predictions:
Tomorrow the wind is predicted to shift to the north in the afternoon, but
there is also rain in the forecast which may get in the way. If the rain
holds off in the afternoon there could be a small flight, but it's hard to
say right now. Saturday looks more promising, with clear skies and
northwest winds.
