Hi  John -

It  appears that earlier N'havn's had feathering Max-props and they changes
to  folding 2-blade props. I had always heard that folding props sometimes had
problems opening and so I surmise that the rationale for the switch, if this
is  true, was that even feathering props were "catching" lines and  nets.

Any  info appreciated.

Plus  the wing prop is folding, so if it

does tangle, you may be able to fold it  and get the line to stream off
it.

I am the owner of Nordhavn 6202 M/V Bonne Vie. I infact do have a 3 bladed
max prop. When I use allot of reverse thrust. The prop will open and I will
have to start the get home engine to fold the prop. This rarely happens so I
have not instituted any changes.
