Had a single female Purple Finch at my sunflower seed feeder in East Hartford this morning.  The head pattern was so sharply defined that she had me scurrying for my field guides to make sure I had the right ID.  Nope, not large enough or right bill color for a female RB Grosbeak.  But soon, I hope!
