I am not sure I see any new news here either. It is standard proceedure on the Gulf coast to telephone the nearest Customs office. We have one in Pensacola, and have checked in by phone a number of times from our home dock. The officers have never come to see the boat. On several occasions when we have been gone for lengthly times, I had to report to the office--but if it was late on a Friday, I was told to report on Monday. Bob Austin
