From Tom Auer:
10/13/14 - Stonington, Saltwater Farm Vineyard -- A single
CLAY-COLORED SPARROW was on the edges of the southern open fields of
the property. The gate was open, but I parked at the kayak launch near
the road and walked in.

From Keith Mueller:
10/13/14 - Meriden, Bishops Pond -- 11 Blue-winged Teal. 1 Northern
Shoveler.

From Brian O'Toole:
10/13/14 - Wilton, Allen's Meadow w/Joe Bear & Mike Warner -- VESPER
SPARROW, 2 LINCOLN'S SPARROWS, 3 WHITE-CROWNED SPARROWS, Purple
Finches.

From Janis LaPointe:
10/13/14 - Enfield, yard -- eeders are now mobbed with Purple Finches.
The numbers have been increasing every day since Oct 9.

From Jim and Carol Zipp:
10/12/14 - Hamden, yard -- flushed 2 Wilson's Snipe in the field
behind the house.  Strange place for me to see them in dry goldenrod
field with a path cut through it.
10/13/14 - Hamden, yard -- at least 12 Purple finch feeding on our
tube feeders.

From Doug Beach with Roger Preston:
10/13/14 - Simsbury -- 4 White-crowned Sparrows in the old Simsbury
Community Gardens; adjacent to the Apple Barn at Simsbury Farms (off
Old Farms Road).

From Susanne Shrader:
10/13/14 - West Hartford, yard -- heard YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER.

From Lisa Gagnon:
10/13/14 - Stafford Springs, yard -- Purple Finches galore, I think up
to 20 now I stopped counting.

From Lorraine Gundersen:
10/13/14 - Guilford, yard -- Purple Finch (3), Pine Siskin (severalÂ…
see them hanging upside down like Christmas tree ornaments on the
cedar branches), Brown Creeper, Dickcissel.

From Donna Caporaso:
10/13/14 - Sratford, Long Beach -- One lone American Pipit.

From Meredith Sampson w/ "First Sundays" group:
10/12/14 - Old Greenwich, Greenwich Point -- BROWN CREEPER, 2
LINCOLN'S SPARROWS, WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, possible CLAY-COLORED
SPARROW.
