A REMINDER:

The Connecticut Ornithological Association's 27th Annual Meeting takes
place on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Chapman Hall, Middlesex Community
College, Middletown, CT.  The early registration fee is $15.00
(pre-pay only) and must be received by March 31.  Registration at the
door costs $20.00.  Details about the annual meeting and registration
are posted on the COA WEBSITE, http://www.ctbirding.org/

03/28/11 - South Windsor, Station 43 -- at the Newberry Road section,
male Northern Shoveler and probably over 200 Wood Ducks.  At the
Vibert Road section about half a dozen Rusty Blackbirds and 3 White
Crowned Sparrows.
Milford, Milford Point -- Northern Gannet.
Stratford, Short Beach -- second cycle Glaucous Gull in parking lot.

3/28/11 - Bloomfield, Filley Pond -- three Snow Geese.

03/28/11 - Westport, Sherwood Island SP -- 3 WILSON'S SNIPE near the
model airplane field, 2 drake NORTHERN SHOVELERS & 1 drake BLUE-WINGED
TEAL continue on the Mill Pond before the entrance to SISP along with
5 other duck species.

03/28/11 - Berlin Yard -- Fox Sparrow.

03/28/11 - Waterbury -- Peregrine Falcons have been reasonably regular
atop the billboards just north of the mix master (intersectino I-84 &
CT 8) for the last few weeks.  Note that they are much easier to see
from the eastbound top deck than from westbound.

03/27/11 - Durham WMA -- One WISLON'S SNIPE and about half a dozen (at
least) lekking WOODCOCKS.

03/27/11 - Sterling yard -- PINE SISKIN (21) continue for 142nd
consecutive day.  FOX SPARROW (4), PURPLE FINCH (1m).
