There's plenty of time to submit your Big January results, and it's easy
to do so. Birders can submit a total number for the entire state of
Connecticut, and/or a County and/or a town within Connecticut.
Species that qualify are those species that currently are accepted
to the State List (or are observed during January that would represent
first state records for Connecticut). The current list of species can be
found on the Connecticut Ornithological website:
https://www.ctbirding.org/birds-birding/checklist-of-the-birds-of-connecticut/
To participate, birders should submit their numerical totals to me by
February
15, 2023. A list of birds observed is not necessary. The email address is
scmayo999@gmail.com.
