I just joined the IMLA University Cities List.  The welcome message asked
me to introduce myself, so here goes:

I'm Mark Lambert, City Attorney in Ames, Iowa, home to Iowa State
University.

I've been Ames City Attorney for a little over 2 years, and was an
Assistant City Attorney for Ames for 4 years before that.  (Prior to that,
I was a state Admin. Law Judge for 7 years and served on the state
utilities commission for 4 years).

It was nice to meet many of you in Columbia, Missouri last week!

I look forward to sharing info and asking questions of my learned
colleagues on this listserv.

Before I go, here's a recent cool thing we did in Ames, in partnership
with Iowa State, which diverted tons from our landfill and made $33,000
for local nonprofit orgs:
