Richard,
I reviewed your web site, and watched the various videos. Very interesting design and build of the 28 foot cruising cat of plywood Thank you for sharing this. Can you tell us a bit more about the Skoota 28. It appears that she is powered by two 30 hp outboards. What is the cruising speed and fuel consumption? What are the specs on the boat? I see that she is built in 3 parts--the cabin, and two hulls. Is it possible to trailer all parts on one trailer and is there some way that one person, or two person team could assemble the parts? Is she built so that the 3 parts can be easily broken down for trailering. What is the finished weight? The man hours of construction and the cost of materials? Handling characteristics etc.
What I see is a design which could be expanded in size (understanding that one does not just enlarge a smaller boat to make a larger one). That this is a design type which could bring the cost of a power cat down significantly, with out the disadvantages of the Wharram type of build.
Regards,
Bob Austin
