[RE]CONNECT: Seattle Arts Leadership Conference is a full-day event, hosted by Seattle University's MFA in Arts Leadership program. Arts leaders from across the Pacific Northwest will gather for an exciting day of provocative speakers, professional development workshops, and artwork. The conference opens with a reception in the Vachon Gallery on the Seattle University campus, which will showcase a month-long exhibition of artwork created by students and alumni.

Conference Program: March 2, 2019, 8am - 5pm, Seattle University

With a background in architecture and a deep understanding of displacement and war, Hafez creates photo-realistic, sculptures of the urban landscape of the Middle East. His most famous project, Unpacked: Refugee Baggage, aims to amplify refugee voices by creating miniature replicas of homes, communities, and countries, that have been devastated by war and political unrest.
