I have just been watching a Red Headed woodpecker at my feeders this afternoon. It is now 4:00pm and the beautiful Adult male with brilliant red head and pure white rump was a sight to see at my suet feeder. Not very many Red Headed Woodpeckers are seen up this way anymore. Directions to my house are as follows: Take Hwy #21 north from Port Elgin to Southampton and turn left onto McNabb st, The Beer store is on the Northeast corner. Drive down McNabb to 383 and drive in through the gates on the left. Turn right at top of hill and my house is number 115, second on the right. There is a wooded ravine at the back of my place along McNabb St, and there are woods along South St. where the bird could be hanging around.
