From Dave Tripp 1/6/08  10:00AM

I just left Fran Zygmont's house at 26 Miner Lane, Barkhamsted after receiving and responding to an anxious phone call. He has a no question, no doubt, better than field guide example of a HOARY REDPOLL with approximately 100 Common Redpolls.

Birder's are welcome to visit with parking in the street. There were polls everywhere; in the trees, feeders, snowbanks, driveway and on his roof. It was quite amazing. His feeders are located by walking down the driveway and looking into the rear of the house. Please respect Private property and stay on the driveway and street. Pine Siskins are regularly visiting the feeders every day.

After contacting Jay Kaplan to attend with me, he had just returned from confirming another Hoary Redpoll in Canton. Both of these birds seemed to without question say, "Look at me!  I'm a Hoary Redpoll."
