(GIG HARBOR) The 27th Annual Gig Harbor Summer Art Festival, featuring
hand-crafted work by 135 artists and craftspeople from throughout the
Northwest, will take place July 16 and 17 on Judson Street in the heart of
historic downtown Gig Harbor. The event is presented by the Peninsula Art
League (PAL), with support from Key Bank.

According to organizer Christy Camerer, there will be a greater emphasis on
entertainment this year, with 15 stage and wandering performers and a
drumming circle. There will also be more food vendors.

Free shuttle service will be provided from the Medical Center parking lot on
Kimball Drive to the festival site and along the historic downtown
waterfront. On Saturday, the Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association will
hold its annual ‘Chalk the Walk’ sidewalk art event all along the
waterfront.

In conjunction with the two-day art festival, PAL will present an exhibition
of work by its members in the Key Bank branch near the festival site.

All events are free. Shuttle parking is free at the Medical Center.
