The bird continued to show well today along Concession A. It was sitting
low and quiet on a knoll not more than 10 feet from the side of the road.
Northern Harriers kept it wary. It was first seen and heard with its rattle
call a little further in the field but kindly pointed out to us by other
observers. Seed has been buried in the snow by the passing plow so it may
not be at the side of the road collecting seed, there is some now out on the
sidelines. It seems comfortable with passing cars and people, look
carefully at the grass at the side of the road it really blends in, best
viewed from the vehicle. Interestingly, it seemed to call when the Sandhill
Cranes came over firing off their calls. Close study and photographs were
taken.
The A Concession Rd is the road north of Lakeshore Rd and only runs west off
Hwy 59.

Glenda Slessor.

About 25 minutes ago the Smith's Longspur flew up and did a big lap around the area it's been hanging out at before landing in a corn stubble field about 200m south of Concession A Rd near Port Rowan in Norfolk County. There were still a few people there when I left so hopefully someone can repost if it comes back to the road.
Refer to Cheryl's directions below in the forwarded email.
