Aton Forest Inc Bird Observations - 10/17/09

In spite of the cool, breezy weather, a group of a dozen, hardy, bird enthusiasts walked two bird observation routes on 10/17/09 and saw the following:

8 Canada Geese; 3 blue jays; 10 white-throated sparrows; 2 ravens; american crow; 1 brown creeper; 3 yellow-rumped warblers; 7 black-capped chickadees; 1 hairy woodpecker; 1 pileated woodpecker; 1 red-breasted woodpecker; 2 yellow-bellied sapsuckers; 3 hermit thrushes; 3 dark-eyed juncos; 2 ruby-crowned kinglets.

AF Inc. Board Member also demonstrated a the MAPS station setup for the group with one mist net.
