Hi Birder's,

Since I haven't seen a report from Van Wagner's today, I thought I'd post
some things that I know which were seen today.

Mike and I arrived at 10:50 and were informed by birders already there (Bob
Curry, Glenda Slessor, Brandon Holden, and ?) of (3) Jaegers along the
horizon. General consensus was (1) Parasitic and (2) Pomarine, all dark
juveniles. They informed of us several other Jaegers that had been seen, as
well as (1) Sabine's Gull and three groups of Black-legged Kittiwakes in
groups of (3), (2), and (1). At 12:10 we had (3) Black-legged Kittiwake's on
the horizon, and shortly afterwards (2) juv. Pomarine Jaeger's flew by no
less than 50 meters from shore. At 12:35 we spotted a single Kittiwake. This
bird was seen on and off for close to 20 minutes giving fairly decent looks.

We left at 2 having seen nothing after our final Kittiwake.

Other birds seen were: Red-throated and Common Loons, all three Scoters, and
thousands of Scaup along with the usual assortment of diving ducks.

Good Birding,

Kenny Burrell

Directions; From the QEW (Burlington way),Take the QEW towards Niagara,
going over the skyway, or Eastport drive (lower level) exit at the Woodward
exit, turn right (towards the lake) at Woodward and go under the QEW and
coming to stop lights at Beach Blvd.

If you were on Eastport Drive,(heading east from Burlington) you will turn
left at the lights at Woodward.

Turn right at the Beach Blvd lights, and head east along the beach until you
almost get to the Famous Hutch's fish & chip outlet. Park in the lot just
before you get to Hutch's.
