Frankly, after a fresh oil change I have a hard time reading the oil
level on the dipstick.
If you dry off the dipstick real good, then insert it, pull it out, hold
it horizontally in front of you and shine a light on it so the light is
coming back toward you, the light reflecting off the oil will be shiny
but the light reflecting off the dipstick will be dull.
