I studied Sinology at the University of Rome and I am currently a PhD student at the LMU Munich University. My dissertation is about foreign relations and perception of ethnicity in China under the Yuan Dynasty. My fields of interest are: geopolitical relations and cultural exchanges between Central and East Asia, definitions of ethnicity and foreigners in Chinese sources, non-Han dynasties, Mongolian language and history, history of food and foodways.
