OK, after reading the discussion about cell phone coverage in Desolation
Sound an even more important issue came to me.  How do we listen to Mariners
games in Desolation Sound?  I really doubt that we can pick up KIRO on our
boom box...

Hi Eric,

Call the Mariners; KIRO isn't the only outlet just the "flagship". Up here
on the Olympic Peninsula we get the Mariners on KONP in Port Angeles and
I've also heard of an affiliate in Bellingham.

They may have an affiliate within range of Desolation.

OTOH: You could also stick a "Follow Me" DSB dish on the boat and watch the
games on Fox Sports NW.

Sportingly yours,

Alex

Why bother?  I thought the whole idea of cruising was to get away from it
all.  When we begin worrying about picking up Mariner's games, the proper
satellite antenna, what mirrors work best, and how to decorate the head we
might as well buy a Winnebago and park it at a "Campgroundsareus" near
Tacoma. Flame away.

These boats are our homes.  What's wrong with living in them?
