Marco Pump UP6 / E12 experiences with domestic water system?

Hello,

I recently inspected a Marco UP6/E12 at Fisheries Supply and found the
quality to be very impressive. The Marco pumps are manufactured in Italy
and the apparent quality of tool and machine work looks top shelf. It's
described as, "an electronically controlled, variable speed, positive
displacement, gear driven pump without o-ring or gaskets to leak". They
sell for about $600 and have a two year warranty and (I confirmed that)
Depco services them.

My previous water pumps tend to need servicing at least once a year.
I will still carry a spare, but I'd love to go a season without changing a
waterpump unexpectedly.

The Marco exudes quality, but I've been fooled by a pretty face before.

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this brand and/or model of
pump before I convert.

After looking at the website, I too like the look of these pumps.  I hope someone can comment that has used them.  I am in need of a fresh water pump at present.

About sixteen-years ago I replaced the Galley Maid fresh water pump with
a FloJet Model 4325.  Last year I finally replaced it because the
brushes had worn out, which gives you an idea of how much use it had
received.  During that fifteen-years of use, the pump never required any
service.  I replaced the pump with the exact same unit.
