But, I cannot see how one could present
differences of opinion ... in a wiki-type
presentation, which seems
to me, at least, to assert that all information
is essentially
correct - and "here is the answer".

Perhaps it is time for an example.  Believe it or not, there are more
controversial topics in life beyond what type of anchor to use or whether
using a bow thruster means you're not a real pilot.  I tried to think of a
specific topic that is very controversial and has strong differing opinions.
Abortion came to mind.  Check out the abortion-debate page on Wikipedia:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_debate

Note that there are ways to present differing opinions in a polite and
respectful manner.  Note also the "discussion" tab at the top.  This is
where other people can give their opinions, all tied nicely together with
the factual content in one place.

The page doesn't give any type of "here is the answer" opinion.  It presents
the issues in a way that a normal person can learn from.  The topics,
questions, and issues that we face with trawlering could fit into this same
model.

I'm not going to make any additional posting about wiki's or Trawlerpedia or
anything else like that.  It's really not on topic and I fear that it is
being beat to death a little.  There are about 10-15 people who have
contacted me and are interested in making a prototype for T&T.  When that
prototype is complete, we'll make a posting so interested people can try it.
