Dear Newfie Friends,

Colonial Newfoundland Club would like to challenge you to join us.  We know
we cannot save them all, but as the Starfish poem says..."It made a
difference to that one".  We recently came across a pup in significant need

We can't save them all, but we can make a difference to this one...

Colonial Newfoundland Club

Starfish Poem

One day an old man was walking down the beach just before dawn. In the
distance he saw a young man picking up stranded starfish and throwing them
back into the sea. As the old man approached the young man, he asked, "Why
do you spend so much energy doing what seems to be a waste of time?" The
young man explained that the stranded starfish would die if left in the
morning sun. The old man exclaimed, "But there must be thousands of
starfish. How can your efforts make any difference?" The young man looked
down at the starfish in his hand and as he threw it to safety in the sea, he
said," It makes a difference to this one!"

We know we cannot save them all, but as the Starfish poem says..."It made a difference to that one". We recently came across a pup in significant need - a family out of work, with a pup needing expensive surgery. His breeder, a responsible fellow NCA member, is doing all she can to help. We checked it out and found this to be a worthy case and a legitimate cause. We invite you to check it out too, and challenge your club to match CNC's donation of $500 (or support us in helping this pup with whatever your club can afford). Please see the websites below and you can contact his breeder for more information.
