In celebration, we are hosting an *Artist Reception **Wednesday, January 27th from 5pm to 7pm* with small bites and wine. She provides a fun, engaging, and high-touch experience for her clients, so that they can be absolutely thrilled with the custom art work they hang in their homes. * *It's not every day that you take time out to create original images of your loved ones. Let Lara make sure that when you put in the time, you come away with gorgeous heirloom pieces to keep and cherish for a lifetime.* *Lara earned her bachelor of science degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, with majors in both Theatre and Linguistics. While she was at NU, she enrolled in every photography class she could find. All of her courses focused on black and white film photography, with only a brief introduction to Photoshop.* *In 1996, she began shooting publicity photographs for student theatre productions and a cappella groups; thus beginning her professional career. She has worked as a photographer in a variety of settings, and today, Lara works with pets and people - with pets being her specialty. * *About Riki Thompson, Creator of LilGirlArt: <http://lilgirlart.com/>* *Riki’s style is whimsical and fun, integrating themes related to travel, nature, animals, and exploring. In addition to cartooning, she loves to paint with acrylics, play with watercolor pencils, draw with digital tools, play with pottery, craft ceramic creations, and make mixed-media artwork. * *The places, people, and animals in the Lil’ Girl Art collection are inspired by the artist’s life and adventures.
