Hi;
I have finally found a 70MHz IF GPS ant only to find the Austron 2201 is not Y2K complaint. Has anyone found a solution for this problem? I have looked at past threads and come up short, but thought I saw this problem addressed in the past.
Thanks;

Hi Paul;
First, I received the Austron Antenna and it works.
So you are saying that I should setback 1024 weeks to July 16 1992 and the rec will recognize the almanac?. Now July 17th?

Maybe it's time to backup the EPROMs.
Also, it should not be too hard to extend the life-time by slight
modification of the software, and there is still people that know the
68010 good enough for it.

As they say the 2201 is locked and phasing its internal oscillator.
Its really quite a piece of equipment especially considering its vintage.

Well, usually its easier to find things using the search, but if the file name does not contain the units make and model, it might as well been sent to Mars...
Searching through the complete upload log does not show any firmware for Austron.
If I need to search for something else, let me know.

I had seen it there but it was as I recall in a funny place.
The only thing I have found so far is the 2100F firmware, which there
was some activity on a while back, but not the 2201A firmware.
If you can find it, please let us know where.

If that is a clock IC or a memory IC with the battery built in, That
voltage should be 3 Volts. I had a SUN computer
with that battery problem and the instructions was on the web, how cut
into the IC and wire an external battery.
I glued a coin cell to the top of the IC
