<!-- DIV {margin:0px;} -->Turned out to be another beautiful night on the Hudson for our second Wednesday Series race. We had three in the Spinnaker Division and five in the Non-Spinnaker Division. The Ideal 18 Fleet was nearby racing their own course. The forecast rain never came to the race course, but the wind shifted from NE to SW and many points in between over the course of the race. With a flooding current and confounding wind, skippers faced challenges throughout. Some challenges were self inflicted, as many in the Non-Spinnaker fleet ignored their instruments and sailed past the windward mark, all convinced the mark would actually be found further north!
Remember, Sunday racing starts July 5 (1:30 p.m. PHRF start), with this Sunday part of the Cruising Fleet Sunday Series. Earlier on Sunday is Shattemuc's Pedlow Cup -- open to NBC members -- start at 10:30 a.m.
