Does anybody have an contact information for support of this brand
knotmeter?  It uses strain gauge technology to measure speed, and it
apparently has become overstrained.

woodie Grand Banks so fast that it overstrained your knotmeter????? :)

Yup, we musta put the go-fast turbine section on line without first
retracting the probe from the slipstream.

Rich,

I was told some years ago by the lady at Telcor that they no longer carried the body of the sensor and that there was no way to repair it. This leaves you with a very large hole in your panel. I filled the one on my bridge with a second depth sounder and the one in the wheelhouse with a 4 CB electrical panel that works out great. Will send pictures if you wish.
