Well I be darned. Just listened to some sound files, and that's what it is. Awful big sound over a long distance for such a small creature. Thanks again for the help. Never would have guessed on my own.

Subject: [CT Birds] ID help in Haddam woods.
For the past week I have been hearing a repetitive/consistent call. More of a 'clacking' sound, like two rocks banging together; not a cluck. About one second apart and goes on for quite some time. I feel I should know what it is, but I am stumped. Thanks in advance for the help.
