So the Sabine's Gull has not been present for about 20 minutes. The bird

Also this morning was a report of a SHEARWATER (MANX?) off Shippan
Point, Stamford. With these strong east winds (remnants of Hurricane
Harvey), people should check other coastal sites, as well as inland lakes
and flooded fields.

So apperently the bird didn't fly West but drifted with the current on the
water out of sight. I'm currently at Compo Beach with little activity off
the beach. There are birds roosting in the dirt parking lots however with
some shorebirds. If anyone is at Sherwood please keep us posted.
Thanks,
Stefan Martin
