Where did you hear about us?      Word of mouth.    Anything else we should know?      I feel like I am a little behind, and I don’t want to step on any toes. I had contacted Metro State's team to come out and practice with their squad since I will be attending in the Fall. However, they have only had one practice and it was almost three weeks ago. Being brand new to the sport I kind of wanted to get out and bang around a little. When I first had this idea in my head I was told to contact y’all.

Like I mentioned, I am brand new to the sport. However, I am a lifelong athlete. Up until about 4 years ago I rode bucking horses and bulls professionally, and on occasion I would fight bulls. Since then I have been active in adult wrestling as well as adult baseball, which are two sports I have taken part in my whole life. I like to think I take pretty decent care of myself.

I have watched a few matches on TV when available and I have read a few books, so I know the bare bones basic rules. I don’t really have an idea of what position I should play. I am 5’9” and 185 lbs. I haven’t run a 40 meter for time, but the last time I ran the 60 yard sprint (used in baseball) I ran a 7.4 (not bad for a catcher). I’ve just kind of had an interest in the back of my mind for a while, and I figured why not now.

If possible, I would like to come out to Thursday night practice and see what’s up.

Andrew,

Come on out! We will be at Cook Park at 6:30 on Thursday. Show up early and we can introduce you to the sport. We have plenty of new players this fall and focus on player development as a club, so you shouldn't have trouble learning quickly. Bring cleats and a mouthpiece if you can. Hopefully you'll find it fun, even though it may not produce as much adrenaline as bronc busting.
