An exhibition of his work will be on view at Tacoma's William Traver Gallery http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/d , located adjacent to the Museum, through July 3, 2010.

FINAL WEEK
History of Glass Lecture Series Week 6: Studio Glass Movement
Saturday, June 19
1 to 2 pm in the Hot Shop
http://i4.cmail4.com/ei/y/DD/2A5/9A3/081857/images/sgm.jpg Our History of Glass Lecture Series will conclude this Saturday with Studio Glass http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/o . The revolutionary spirit of the 1960s gave us hippies, rock and roll and political protests-and an art movement called Studio Glass. The center of creativity shifted from traditional glass factories to independent artists who weren't afraid to break the rules and experiment. This movement continues strongly today with great glass artists like Dale Chihuly, http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/b Preston Singletary http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/n and Venetian master, Lino Tagliapietra. http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/p
Join renowned artist, teacher and historian Walter Lieberman http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/x for the final 2010 session. He will show slides of some of the most exceptional pieces from the time period and discuss the highlights of this exciting period in the history of glassmaking. Cost to attend the lectures is included with Museum admission, which is free for Museum of Glass members. http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/m
