During summer, MOG invites a different artist to work in the Hot Shop each week. These artists come from the Pacific Northwest, from all corners of the United States or from countries as far away as the Netherlands and Iceland. Many of these artists also will work as instructors or artists-in-residence at Pilchuck Glass School. An exhibition of his work will be on view at Tacoma's William Traver Gallery <http://museumofglass.cmail4.com/t/y/i/bthlhr/wlhiuthj/d> , located adjacent to the Museum, through July 3, 2010. The center of creativity shifted from traditional glass factories to independent artists who weren't afraid to break the rules and experiment.
