Groove-billed Ani near Stratford

Yesterday (October 24) Kyle Swanson found a Groove-billed Ani on private
property near Stratford. Kyle was able to arrange with the property owner
for limited viewing today through a series of pre-booked one hour time
slots. Thanks to his hard work and the good will of the property owner,
many people saw the bird today.

The owner has agreed to allow visitors again tomorrow between 8 am and 5
pm, but this will be the last planned opportunity, at least for now.

Because of limited available space we must limit things to 8 cars per one
hour time slot, so we are giving priority to people who can carpool with at
least 3 people. We understand this may be difficult coordinating but it is
the most effective way to get as many people out as possible.

If you wish to try to see this bird tomorrow (October 26) please get in
touch with Brett Fried or I who are coordinating visitors tomorrow. Please
include your name, your group size, your preferred time(s) and a phone
number. We will send instructions for viewing tomorrow once you are
confirmed..

Thanks again to Kyle for this fantastic find and for showing the bird to so
many people today, to the property owners for allowing visitors to see this
exciting bird and to Barb Charlton and Jeff Skevington who coordinated
bookings today. Fingers crossed it is still there tomorrow!
