To All, Another light air evening. John Sheehan, in Imagine More, walked away from the pack and is now in 1st place in the Spinnaker Division. Nice going John and crew! With only three more races to go in the series, the Leader Board is tightening up. It looks like we will have two throw-outs when the final scoring is completed. The last Wednesday Night Pursuit Race will be September 5th, a few days before the NBC Fall Regatta September 8-9th. )Please note the Fleet voted not to include the second Pursuit Race of the year in the scoring. This will just be for fun.) Don't forget our Annual Cruising Fleet Pier Party this weekend Saturday, August 11th. Fleet Captain John Michael will open the bar at 5 pm when the band starts playing, Dave Otterbein will start cooking on the grills around 6 pm, and Morris will start the water sports soon after. The Pier Party is free for all Cruising Members and their families ($10/person for all others), and we're hoping all of the racers show up. Bring your boat into the pier for the most enjoyable evening ever, and put up your festive flags and lights. For others, the Launch will be running until 11 pm. If you have the time, we are looking for more help to set up the Pier on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, and kitchen help for cutting, dicing, food prep, and layout.
