Cruising America's Great Loop and other inland routes
View all threadsSorry for the delayed reply to this, but we was out cruising for the
past 2
weeks...using our new Garmin 192C.
It has all the preloaded charts. Great
unit. All the accuracy and detail
of any of their other Blue Charts.
We made
the run with the new boat from Rochester, NY to Mystic, Ct.
Everything was on
there just as Garmin told me when I talked with them
prior to my purchase.
Depths were right on the money as well.
The screen is small, but it's about
all we have room for on the helm of
our old 40 Albin. The detail is there as
you can zoom in and out as
needed.
Screen is easy to see clearly in bright
sun or overcast skies. I haven't
tried it at night.
If you have any specific
questions feel free to contact me privately.

Has anyone tried the New Generation Garmin yet? The
ones with the
charts preloaded. Apparently, they have the Coastal US and
some inland
detail.
What about screen clarity and resolution on the
Garmins?
