Cold temperatures brought the migrants down to the Lighthouse today. The
317 raptor total included 144 Turkey Vultures, 59 Red-shouldered Hawks and
50 Red-tailed Hawks. They flew in from the E and the beach, and cleared to
the NW in an orderly fashion. There was another great morning flight which
included 11,200 Common Grackles, 11 Pine Siskin, and 11 Cave Swallows. Most
Cave Swallows were in the morning, but there was one around 12 pm. NE winds
will be a bit lighter tomorrow. It's still maybe worth checking in on
tomorrow's morning flight.
