Ah, I see. Is it that core problem is related to dimensioning, which is--how do I align different components correctly in an assembly? I think I have a solution, which I'll try out, and get back to you. I think I should be able to specify vectors where the holes are, and have OpenSCAD figure out where to move them to make the assembly.
