TACOMA, Wash. – Dec. 12, 2011 – Tacoma photographer Sean
Griffin is being profiled as featured photographer for the week of Dec. 11,
2011 at Shocaseme.com, a website dedicated to showcasing gifted artists from
around the world.

The profile, available at http://www.shocaseme.com/?p=6070,
includes five of the artist’s award-winning photographs, plus an extended
question-and-answer session in which the photographer describes the sources of
his inspiration, identifies influences, and reveals techniques for capturing
the perfect image.

“This has been an extraordinary month for me,” said Griffin,
founder of Lightscapes
Photography. “First came recognition by The Smithsonian; then being chosen
by the artists, collectors, and gallery owners on FineArtAmerica as
Photographer of the month; and now the Shocaseme.com feature.  I’d like to thank the Shocaseme
curators for this honor.”

Editors at The Smithsonian chose Sean’s photograph, “Northern
Flicker Tail Feather” – a study in still-life natural light photography, as Photo
of the Day for Nov. 25. The selection put him in the running for finalists
in The Smithsonian’s 2011 Photo Contest, with winners to be announced on March
1.

On Dec. 3, Sean shared top honors as Photographer of the
Month on FineArtAmerica.com for his photograph, “Autumn
Idyll on Lake Austin” – one of 457 entries worldwide in the competition.

In addition to art photography, Sean specializes in
portraiture, photographs special events, offers public presentations on
marketing art, and offers a line of merchandise displaying his artwork at www.zazzle.com/lightscapesphoto.
