The UALC Professional Development Committee has extended the deadline for its Fall Professional Development Retreat! Please submit proposals by Friday, June 19, 2026.
We’re looking for presentations, panels, discussions, or active learning opportunities of 30 or 60 minutes or 15-minute lightning talks. Presentations may be made in-person or remotely. The retreat will take place on Friday, October 16 at Salt Lake Community College (SLCC) Taylorsville Redwood Campus.
Proposals should suit the theme of “Community and Collaboration: Pursuing Connection in the Age of Technology” which may include (but should not be limited to) sessions about:
- Providing library services which help to build communities in person and/or online
- Collaborating with staff, students, faculty, and/or colleagues in unique or inventive ways
- Connecting patrons with innovative technological services
- Balancing ethical, moral, privacy, and/or environmental considerations when engaging with technologies such as AI
