Wanted…Youth Tournament Director

Dependable, organized and honest individual that is great with kids and
parents that are passionate about sports. Paid very competitive hourly rate.

Job entails 2 days per week of actual work time, one planning day and then
one full day on a field.  The job will last 6 weeks…May 19th-June 25th.
Thursday nights will be for planning the schedule for the TRY jamboree that
upcoming Saturday.

Thursday evenings:

  • Obtain number of teams playing that upcoming weekend
  • Plan schedule for games
  • Send final schedule to teams for the weekend
  • Confirm trainers and refs for the weekend

Saturdays:

  • Transport equipment to fields (tents, cones signs, flag cones etc…)
  • Number the fields, lay out fields
  • Get refs tent and schedule set up
  • Get trainer tent set up (provide cooler of ice for trainers)
  • Post schedule in a couple locations at fields
  • Direct coaches and teams to their assigned fields
  • Make sure games start on time
  • Walk around tournament and monitor coach, player and parent behaviors
  • Reline fields for older teams as day goes on
  • Be available for complaints, injuries and game time issues
  • Break down and clean up at the end of the day
