Marine Air Conditioners

On our way up the ICW this spring, our A/C went TU.  It was an 18 year old
Marine Air unit.  We had a fellow recommended in St. Augustine and he
pronounced it as dead.  After much on-line research we installed a unit made
by MarvAir.  The brand name escapes me but MarvAir is big in A/C manufacturing
for mobile offices and classrooms.  The thing I like is that the unit is
Stainless Steel.  My theory is that the components are all going to be about
the same in anybody's unit anyway.  The compressors all come from a handful of
sources anyway.  Our unit is 18,000 BTU's and has worked fine all summer in
the Chesapeake.
