BEST WISHES FOR A SAFE AND SUCCESSFUL EVENT...

... to all Gators crossing the starting and finishing lines this weekend!

Our athlete event schedule is a bit lighter this weekend, but we do have at
least 4 athletes participating in 3 events including one sponsor
swim/swim-run race, a triathlon, and a cycling ride.

We are also offering our usual Sunday morning swim slot at the Spring
Valley YMCA's indoor lap pool between 11:15am-12:15pm.

If you have an event this weekend and are not listed below, PLEEEASE post a
comment so that we can all follow along as you become a champion and
achieve fame and fortune and everything that goes with it... keep fighting
till the end!

Here's what's on the calendar...

Saturday, August 14:

• French Creek Racing's River Day SwimFest/SwimRun (Norristown, PA): Club
sponsor French Creek Racing and John Kenny offer this close by opportunity
to race or practice your OWS skills with an option to include some
running!  The event options include OWS distances of 800m (1/2 mile), 1
mile, and 5k and the SwimRun event includes two 800m swims with a 5k run in
between.  Online registration has closed, but onsite registration may still
be available. Keith Ho will be participating in the SwimRun event!

Sunday, August 15:

• Williamstown Badgers Autumn Lake Triathlon (Williamstown, NJ): Straight
off of her Wednesday IRONMAN distance 2.4 mi ocean swim, Cindy Kelecic is
right back at it in this sprint distance triathlon.  The event begins with
a 0.4 mile swim in a clean, spring-fed lake in the heart of Williamstown,
NJ. The 13 mile bike ride is flat and fast and includes roads with large
bike lanes. The 5K run will take place on the property of Autumn Lake
Winery and travels through trails (hard packed dirt, some grass, sand, and
loose dirt) around two lakes and through the vineyard.

• Covered Bridge Classic (Lancaster, PA): The Covered Bridge Classic is a
premier Pennsylvania ride now in its 42nd year.  It offers beautiful routes
of 100 miles, 65 miles and 35 miles in Lancaster County.  Each route
traverses through covered bridges and passes Amish farms.  Susan Flavin and
Joe DeNicola, after last week's adventurous 50 mile ride that turned into
60+ miles, decided to do it again and this time take on the 65 mile route
(which will hopefully not end up being 70+ miles)!

Have a great weekend!
