How about a Faribault wool blanket throw.

Does anyone have any ideas/something to volunteer or donate?

Richard and Sandy Donnay generally go to the show every year, so they should be able to transport things to get to the auction on time.

Good evening all,

As many of you may know, I chair the Newfoundland Health Challenge for the CTMB/NCA. As such, I would like to make a "West Coast" and beyond request. Would each of the clubs you are members of and/or represent consider hosting the NHC Silent Auction on Thursday at this year's National*?* This is the single opportunity allowed to the NHC each year to raise funds other than through donations.

Before the collective sigh, due to location, I am not asking for volunteers or to manage any of the details to run the auction on Thursday, instead I am asking that each club consider donating four items for this Ringside Silent Auction. Over time I have learned the items that typically attract a higher bid are the ones that are unique. Your locations alone make this an easier achievement for any donation you may chose to send.

In my opinion, the bottom line is that we are all in this for one reason- the Newfoundland and for this breed to continue forward; we need to continue to invest in the health of the Breed.

Please let me know if this is a possibility within each of your clubs for this ringside auction request. You may contact me via my email address above or call me at 717-802-2873.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

All the best,

Mary Jane Spackman

What is our budget going to be?  Wild Rice is good but we have been including it in our baskets each year for the Nationals,  Fairbault wool blanket is cool, but spendy.  Any body know of any local artist that do painting, photography of the area, wood carving ( loons, ducks etc).  There is a gentelman north of St. Cloud that does carved fishing lures.

I like both ideas.  In addition,  the MN Historical Society has a nice
gift shop that has some unique MN items, including books.  I'd have to go
down there to make a specific suggestion.  I'd be willing to do that, just
let me know.
