When you were a young child, you learned to walk by crawling, pulling
yourself up, a few stumbles, wobbling, falling, and pulling yourself up
again. Soon, you were walking, running, hopping, skipping, and said “Watch
me! I can jump!” You have come a long way since you were that young child.
You have learned many skills, knowledge, and acquired talents that many
others do not have.
I will give you direction to manage stress, which is at the root of many
physical, mental, and emotional problems. It is up to you to follow my
plan. Hypnosis makes it easier and more effortless. Hypnosis releases
“happy chemicals” manufactured by your amazing mind and body to melt
stress, and cravings. If there are any serious emotional or physical
problems, you should also consult with your physician.
While you are hypnotized, you may forget about your body, since it may feel
asleep. However, your mind, your attention will be focused on my voice. You
will hear everything I say, and your super aware attention will be
effortless. This is like lying down in your bed to sleep, and you become
super aware of sounds around you: the dripping tap; the creaks in your home
and the sound of the cars outside that you do not notice in your daily busy
life. Hypnosis is like getting absorbed in a good book or movie and you do
not hear someone calling you. This pinpoint focused attention is hypnosis.
At that point of focused attention, you are incredibly open to persuasion
to be a nonsmoker or to change your eating and exercise habits. I am your
guide.
Hypnosis is like meditation, but also focusing on clearly imagining
yourself as already successful. I call it “brain rising” out the negative
and programming the positive in your subconscious mind. If you have a
powerful reason and motivation to change in your conscious mind, we will
together convince your subconscious mind to agree with and be in harmony
with your conscious desires. The battle between the conscious and
subconscious ends with success in reaching your goal.
Most mind power experts claim that your subconscious is responsible for at
least 90-95% of what happens in your body, your health, your relationships,
your finances, your success, most everything. Have you ever given your
subconscious a suggestion to wake up your conscious mind at a certain time
in the morning and you did? Have you ever had a dream that seemed very
real? Have you ever awakened in the morning with a solution to your
problem? The subconscious never sleeps; does not know the difference
between reality and imagination and does not care if you program healthy
positive instructions or negative. It simply responds to your programming.
A hypnosis sleep is different from an ordinary sleep. A hypnotic sleep is
like an in between world, feeling half asleep, half awake. Your
subconscious looks after the magic of breathing, the temperature in the
body, healing cuts, scrapes, burns, and bruises, changing food in your
digestive system into what the body needs, keeping your heart beating,
manufacturing thousands of needed chemicals and so much more. If you are
cold or hot at night, you do not have to wake up your conscious mind. As
you sleep, your subconscious will guide your hands to move the covers. If a
child cries, your subconscious will wake your conscious mind up if
necessary. You do not lose control when you are hypnotized. The hypnotist’s
instructions help you to gain control over your life.
Your mind is not a blank in hypnosis. You probably will not know you are
hypnotized. Why? Because you have experienced spontaneous natural hypnosis
so many times in your everyday life that you do not recognize it. Common
daydreaming is hypnosis. Driving right past the exit you meant to take
involves being so focused on a thought that you do not notice the exit. The
secret of being hypnotized is simply to follow my instructions. Give
yourself permission to enjoy the experience. Do not try hard to make
anything happen. Just let it happen. Keep your eyelids closed. Just listen
and follow my instructions to guide your attention and imagination.
Whatever is programmed into your subconscious computer mind, you become
what you focus upon. Your subconscious uses the programming to alter your
thinking and actions to make your actual life match the programming. At
seminars, I give you over one hundred hypnotic instructions during your
hypnosis sessions. This causes people to change their self-image to
nonsmoker, non-drinker, slim person, and more. If you are a seminar
attendee, you will also receive printed instructions for your conscious
mind to follow.
